In Andamur, we have gained the ISO: 27001 Standard Certificate: Information Security Management System, becoming leaders in security in the country. This certificate grants the confidentiality, integrity and availability in the client’s data usage. Thus, we prove our capability to verify and manage risks and our line of commitment in one of the main assets that companies can have these days, information.

This certification benefits our clients in matters of data protection and transaction guarantee, issues of great importance in a field such as transportation. The ISO:27001 demonstrates that in Andamur we are worthy of our client’s trust and we confirm our full commitment to the safety of our transactions. It also positions Aircode as the best anti-fraud system in Europe since it is the only one recognise by AENOR.

We have had the pleasure of welcoming Ángel Luis Sánchez Cerón, Mediterranean Manager of AENOR, in Andamur who has delivered us this recognition as he did with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate that we also got last december.

In this manner, Andamur has become the first and only company in the transportation business in gaining this certificate and so, we situate in the European avant-garde in the information security and management field. Nonetheless, we know that we can always improve and, for this reason, we have initiated an Integrated Management System (IMS) with the purpose of obtaining this 2020 the next certifications: ISO 14001 Environmental Management 14064/1 Carbon Footprint Certificate and ISO 45001 Work Security and Health Management.

In Andamur we take care of what really matters and we are aware of the importance of the environment for the future of our planet. We are thoroughly involved with sustainability, and thus, we have implemented a series of actions as a part of our SCR program #CuidamosLoQueImporta looking to reduce the environmental impact on our activity.

The installation of solar panels in our headquarters and service stations, the usage of recycled material and the establishment of recycling points in our offices are some of the measures already in practice. However, in Andamur we are aware that there is still a lot of work to do. Our goal is to develop both short and long term a series of sustainable projects in order to gain the ISO14001 Certificate in Environmental Management granted by AENOR and the Carbon Footprint Certification.

Our sustainable plan is divided in 5 major commitments: paper usage reduction, saving in water consumption, promoting recycling, saving in the consumption of energy and other measures to protect the environment like the cleaning of natural spaces and the already existing Andamur Forest which is able to absorb 2.8 tons of CO2 per year.

We believe that there are no small actions and hence, Andamur Sustainable covers from actions taken place in our offices such as the removal of paper glasses, the implamantation of digital contracts or the installation of electrical handryers, to broader scope measures like the installation of green and recycling points in our stations or the automating of lighting according to the level of natural light.

Here in Andamur, we know that environmental caring is an everyone’s job and we want to encourage our employees to accept this challenge with us. For this reason, we have given them each seeds so our work and commitment for a more sustainable world begin to bear fruit.

Tyres are an essential part to be able to drive in optimum safety conditions. They are very important for the safety of road users and the protection of transported goods.   If you do not pass the necessary inspections, this may result in problems such as loss of control, increased breaking time and lack of response.

The tread is the external rubber stripe of the tyre and it is meant to be in contact with the ground. Not only does it help drain water in case of rain and contribute to improving the grip, but it is also an element of protection against the thousands of objects that may be found in the road. Tread loosening is one of the most common problems that tyres in bad condition face, due to excessive speed, load overweight and rubber pressure.

Correct tyre maintenance will have an impact on your safety and efficiency when driving, and if you follow these preventive measures you will also be able to prevent tyres from loosening and this will enable you:

  • To brake properly.
  • To maintain steering alignment.
  • To check tyre pressure.
  • To ensure the correct condition of axles.
  • To regularly control the tread pattern wear.
  • Not to overload the vehicle exceeding the specific weight set at the factory.
  • To choose a tyre model that is suited to the truck’s characteristics.
  • To check the angles of the wheels.
  • To keep the rims clean.

In Spain, road freight transport is the option chosen by many companies to carry out business. This transport sector generates high job and income potential, mainly owing to savings both in time and costs, and has recently achieved three essential aims: integration of new technologies, flexibility in delivery and commitment to environmental sustainability. Through the solidarity campaign You decide, carried out in December, we have managed to donate EUR 30,000 to different Spanish NGOs. This action is part of our CSR Plan #WeLookAfterWhatMatters, within our Social Commitment pillar, where our customers have been the main actors.

Using tablets placed in all our stations to this end, our customers have voted for the local, regional or national NGOs where they wished that the money would be donated to. Our customers selected a total of six NGOs to which Andamur would hand over cheques amounting to EUR 5,000. That is to say, a cheque on behalf of each of our Service Areas. (La Junquera, San Román, Pamplona, Guarromán, Lorca and El Límite). A total amount of EUR 30,000 to be used in solidarity projects.

Thus, last week we handed over those cheques to the following organisations:

– Association for People with Disabilities Virgen del Río (Andamur El Límite)

– ANA. Association of Autism of Navarra. Summer School (Andamur Pamplona)

– Fundació Oncolliga Girona. (Andamur La Junquera)

– APANDIS. Association of Parents with Children with Intellectual Disabilities in Lorca. (Andamur Lorca)

– APAEM. Provincial Association of People with Mental Illnesses and their Loved Ones. (Andamur Guarromán)

– Fundación Aladina. Comprehensive support for children and adolescents suffering from cancer and their families. (Andamur San Román)

All of them, together with the rest of NGOs that were eligible for the donation, carry out solidarity projects of special interest to different groups in society.

We grow thanks to our customers and that is why we wished to get them involved in this action. This way, at Andamur, we wanted to show our gratitude and commitment to all users.
