At Andamur, we continue to strengthen our commitment to the wellbeing of transport professionals through a new edition of Take Care of Your Health on the Road, a campaign that promotes healthy habits, physical activity, balanced nutrition and proper rest while on the road.

For almost 40 years, we have worked with a clear purpose: taking care of the people who make road transport possible. That is why we develop initiatives that help improve drivers’ quality of life by offering services, facilities and activities tailored to their real needs on the road.
October: Activities to Promote Health on the Road
Throughout October, Andamur is launching a variety of initiatives that combine wellbeing, leisure and solidarity, with the aim of helping transport professionals stay active and take care of their health while they work.
Your Kilometres Count: Exercise, Healthy Nutrition and Solidarity
On 13 and 14 October at Andamur El Límite and 24 and 25 October at Andamur La Junquera, drivers will be able to participate in the charitable initiative Your Kilometres Count.
Using original blender bikes, participants will generate the energy needed to prepare their own healthy smoothie while accumulating solidarity kilometres.
Every kilometre completed will be converted into kilos of food that Andamur will donate to the Food Banks of Almería and Girona, turning physical effort into direct support for those who need it most.
In addition, all participants will receive a gift for taking part in an activity that combines sport, healthy nutrition and social commitment.
Wellbeing Days by ESPORG at Andamur La Junquera
On 24 and 25 October, Andamur La Junquera will host the Wellbeing Days by ESPORG, an initiative that will give drivers the opportunity to undergo a basic health check-up.
This action aims to raise awareness among transport professionals about the importance of prevention and looking after their health.
Healthy Corners at Andamur Service Areas
To mark World Food Day, Andamur will provide free fruit stations at all its Service Areas from 13 to 25 October.
The initiative aims to encourage the consumption of fresh fruit and remind drivers of the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, even during long hours behind the wheel.
Sports Facilities to Stay Active on the Road
Physical activity plays a key role in drivers’ wellbeing. For this reason, Andamur continues to expand and improve the sports facilities available across its network of Service Areas.
Andamur La Junquera Gym
Opened in 2018, it was the first gym in the Andamur network. It features cardio equipment, strength-training machines and functional training facilities, allowing drivers to make the most of their rest time by exercising.
Andamur San Román Gym
Opened in 2023, it offers a fully equipped training area featuring cardio machines, free weights, spinning bikes, TRX equipment and dedicated stretching and mobility spaces.
Free Bicycles at Andamur San Román
Users can also enjoy a free bicycle service to explore the surrounding area, take a break from driving and engage in outdoor physical activity during their stops.
New Sports Facilities Planned for 2027
As part of its commitment to drivers’ health and wellbeing, Andamur plans to add two new gyms in 2027:
- Andamur El Límite (Huércal-Overa, Almería)
- Andamur Pamplona
These new facilities will expand the range of services focused on the wellbeing of road transport professionals.
A Well-Established Initiative to Promote Healthy Habits
Over the years, Take Care of Your Health on the Road has supported numerous initiatives designed to encourage healthy habits among professional drivers.
These include collaborations with specialist content creators such as Entrena y Conduce and Laur Garage, interactive activities such as the human table football event at Andamur La Junquera, and the creation of Recipes on the Road, an international recipe book developed by chef Cándido Morales, featuring simple, healthy recipes adapted to the daily lives of transport professionals.
Taking Care of Drivers Means Taking Care of the Road
At Andamur, we understand that taking care of drivers goes beyond providing services for their vehicles. It also means offering spaces where they can rest, eat better, stay active and look after their physical wellbeing.
That is why we continue to develop initiatives and improve our facilities so that every stop contributes to a healthier experience. Because when we take care of the people transporting goods across Europe, we also help create safer, more human and more sustainable roads for everyone.
