Drivers at the heart of Andamur’s Corporate Social Responsibility actions

Since Andamur’s founding more than 35 years ago, what has most set us apart has been our emphasis on caring for lorry drivers. Which was why, since we launched our CSR plan in 2019, it was always clear that one of its strategic cornerstones would be none other than this ‘Driver Care’.

In recent years we have undertaken various actions and initiatives in order to, one way or another, promote healthy values among this group that is so vital for our country’s economy and society. We are aware of the difficulties that drivers face on their long-distance routes and our main goal is that Andamur is more than a stopping point for them, somewhere that feels like a home on the road. Which is why we have facilities with supermarkets, gyms, laundrettes, showers…

These actions are grouped under the following headings:

• #WatchYourDietEnRoute – Focused on promoting habits for a balanced diet that is as varied as possible en route.

• #WatchYourHealthEnRoute – Focused on actions that allow you to maintain a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally.

• #ExerciseEnRoute – Aimed at promoting initiatives that transform your lifestyle through exercise.

• #ImAFemaleDriver – Geared towards achieving real equality in an industry traditionally monopolized by men.

Our various actions include:

• Opening a special bicycle park at Andamur San Román. A bicycle park where we provide our customers with free bicycles so they can exercise when they stop over and where hotel guests can park their own bikes.

• Opening of an outdoor gym that will form a perfect exercise island together with the bicycle park.

• A new wave of ‘Recipes en Route’, a campaign launched in 2022 aimed at promoting healthy and varied culinary habits with simple recipes that can be used anywhere with few utensils.

In short, at Andamur we seek to improve drivers’ quality of life in a different way.
