Andamur starts up San Román II and triples its refuelling capacity in Álava

Strategically located, it reinforces Andamur’s commitment to refuelling efficiency and the safety of drivers and their loads.

Andamur San Román II, the new Andamur Service Area in Álava, optimises the experience of transporters with 16 multi-product lanes and simultaneous for truck refuelling, which reduces waiting times and improves operational efficiency. These lanes, together with those of Andamur San Román I, located just a few metres away, make a total of 23 multi-product refuelling points, tripling the supply capacity for our customers in the region.

In addition, customers of Andamur San Román II will be able to enjoy the complementary facilities of Andamur San Román, such as hotel, shop, laundry, showers, restaurant, gym and bicycle loan service. Soon, the new station will also have vending machines and Wi-Fi access, providing a complete and comfortable space for users.

It is important to highlight that Andamur San Román II has added a Secure Truck Parking area with capacity for 100 trucks, and has been certified with the Gold Category under the SSTPA (Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas) standard, based on European Commission Regulation 2022/1012 and supported by ESPORG (The European Safe & Secure Parking Organisation).

In addition, we have been certified under the PSR (Parking Security Requirements) defined by TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association), making us one of the first service areas to hold two security certifications within the same site.

This parking area features license plate access control, on-site security personnel, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, a 2-meter perimeter fence, restrooms and showers, and a 24/7 laundry service, among other facilities, ensuring the safety and peace of mind of drivers and their cargo, while offering the best services during their rest periods.

Both Service Areas are located in a strategic point for professional transport, less than 100 kilometres from the border with France via Irun. This location makes them an essential crossing point for hauliers on their way to Europe from Portugal.
