On 21 and 22 November, we took part in the 24th ANTRAM Congress, which coincided with its 50th anniversary. This congress has once again consolidated its position as one of the most important events for professional transport in Portugal. A key meeting point to reflect on the future of the sector and, above all, to stay close to our customers, listen to them and understand their needs, concerns and daily challenges first-hand.
Two days to analyse, learn and create synergies
The congress opened with an institutional session addressing the impact of international policies on road transport. The second day focused on the future of organisations, innovation, artificial intelligence and the inevitable transition towards new energy models.
A comprehensive programme that allowed us to look directly at the major challenges facing the sector and confirm something we already knew: transport is resilience, constant adaptation and overcoming difficulties every single day.
An opportunity to contribute and connect
On Saturday morning, we had the honour of sponsoring the Coffee Break, a highly valuable networking space where we met with Portuguese companies, current and potential customers, and sector professionals with whom we maintain a close and trusted relationship.
During this session, Rafael da Silva, the head of our team in Portugal, delivered a very special presentation. Close, direct and fully aligned with the real issues and dynamics of the sector, Rafael put Andamur on the map by explaining:
- Our international network of more than 1,400 stations
- Our strong commitment to road safety, both through the Andamur secure parking network and through complementary services focused on security and comfort on the road.
- The features of our ProEurope card, highlighting both the well-known options and the new tools for control, management and security.
His presentation was a reflection of who we are: a close, approachable company that listens, understands and takes action, offering real solutions to the challenges faced by transport fleets.
A moment that moved us: “Difficult does not mean impossible”
The morning concluded with a talk that left a deep impression: the keynote by Paulo Azevedo, titled “Difficult does not mean impossible.”
Paulo was born without hands or legs. His story is the very definition of resilience: he has faced challenges most of us could hardly imagine, built a fulfilling life, is the father of two children, an actor, speaker and motivational coach. His message of personal perseverance resonated strongly in a sector like transport, where every day brings a new challenge and where the ability to adapt, rise up and keep going is essential.
His testimony not only moved the audience but also reminded us that, just like him, professional transport proves every day that difficult does not mean impossible.
An event that encourages us to keep moving forward together
Being present at the ANTRAM Congress allowed us to listen directly to our customers, identify new needs and opportunities, strengthen our presence and commitment to Portuguese transport companies, and confirm that our solutions truly respond to what the sector requires.
We return home with new ideas, valuable learnings and the conviction that we are on the right path: continuing to support Portuguese transport companies at every kilometre, with safety, trust and services that make their day-to-day easier and safer.
