Get to know<b> your drivers&#8217; driving styles<\/b>, set alerts that clearly identify excessive speeding, hard braking, excessive engine idling or sharp cornering.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Detect possible misconduct.<\/b> You can spot if any of your workers are deviating from the established routes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Get to know drivers better.<\/b> By assessing how well heavy vehicle drivers drive, you can be more confident when planning routes with a view to responding better to market requirements. So, if you have a customer who requires deliveries to arrive on time, you&#8217;ll know exactly who the best person for the job is.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also track how much fuel each driver consumes and offer incentives or rewards to the driver who consumes the least and who advises others on how to drive more efficiently.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s more, it&#8217;s vitally important to inform drivers about the metrics that will be used to assess their performance. Of course, when coming up with these metrics, the impact on their personal lives should be taken into account; in other words, how much of a sacrifice it is for them to spend days alone, away from home and family and loved ones.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In short, you need <b>fleet management software<\/b> to help you assess your drivers&#8217; performance as accurately as possible. Fleet management solutions have sensors and software to optimise routes, fuel consumption and other factors that affect fleet performance.
