Rain and other adverse weather conditions such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andamur.com\/consejos-para-conducir-un-camion-en-invierno\/\">snow<\/a> and fog have a direct impact on road conditions which, in turn, affect how you drive.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Andamur, following some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dgt.es\/comunicacion\/noticias\/todo-lo-que-necesitas-saber-para-circular-bajo-la-lluvia\/#:~:text=Con%20lluvia%20la%20distancia%20de,el%20detector%20de%20piso%20mojado.\">General Directorate of Traffic indications<\/a>, gives you some tips to <a href=\"https:\/\/revista.dgt.es\/es\/reportajes\/2015\/12DICIEMBRE\/1222-Seis-consejos-INV-2015-16.shtml\">drive your truck more safely in bad weather<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Increase the safety distance. <\/strong>Rain and snow cause tyres to lose grip, so increasing your safety distance is key should an unforeseen event occur.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Watch out for the first drops.<\/strong> The danger starts as soon as the first drops fall, as they mix with the materials and substances that impregnate the surface, creating a highly slippery film. Doubling the braking distance will help to ensure safety.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foresee<\/strong>. Don&#8217;t let your guard down at any time, especially in adverse weather conditions. Observe your surroundings carefully, looking as far in front as possible to increase your field of vision, which allows you to \u201csee without looking\u201d, which is typical of peripheral vision.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check the weather forecast.<\/strong> Before setting off on your journey, you must check the forecast to avoid surprises at the wheel and to be able to adapt your driving to the weather conditions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare your cab<\/strong>.
