Nest Box Workshop with ANSE<\/strong><\/p>\n In collaboration with the Association of Naturalists of Southeast Spain (ANSE), we participated in a nest box construction workshop for birds and bats as part of the Guadalent\u00edn Vivo project, developed in Lorca and included in the \u201cVolunteering in Watercourses 2025 in the Segura River Basin\u201d programme promoted by TRAGSA.<\/p>\n The activity involved employees from our headquarters as well as colleagues from other Andamur offices and Service Areas, who contributed to the construction of new nest boxes aimed at supporting the conservation of local wildlife along the Guadalent\u00edn River as it flows through the city. The initiative also seeks to encourage bat populations, which play a key role in controlling mosquito populations in urban environments.<\/p>\n The nest boxes will soon be installed in designated areas, coinciding with a biodiversity marathon during which local flora and fauna species will be identified and litter collection activities will be carried out.<\/p>\n The boxes will soon be installed in designated areas as part of a biodiversity marathon, during which participants will identify local flora and fauna species and take part in litter collection activities.<\/p>\n The Andamur Forest Continues to Grow with Bosqueo2<\/strong><\/p>\n Over the last few years, Andamur has carried out several reforestation campaigns in partnership with Bosqueo2 at the public estate of Los Alag\u00fceces, located in Zarzadilla de Totana (Lorca, Region of Murcia).<\/p>\n Thanks to these initiatives, involving employees and their families, more than 1,400 native trees and shrubs have been planted. These new green areas are expected to absorb approximately 56 tonnes of CO\u2082 annually and help combat desertification through soil restoration and protection.<\/p>\n In addition, these actions promote biodiversity, improve habitats for numerous species, and strengthen ecosystem resilience and recovery in the face of droughts, pests, and wildfires. All plantations within the Andamur Forest project are subject to continuous monitoring to ensure their successful establishment and maximize their environmental impact.<\/p>\n By the end of this year, Andamur plans to resume its collaboration with Bosqueo2 through a special initiative that will further expand this project.<\/p>\n Cleaning Natural Areas with NaturAct\u00faa<\/strong><\/p>\n In recent years, Andamur has also taken part in several environmental clean-up activities alongside the NaturAct\u00faa association in the Calnegre and Cabo Cope Regional Park.<\/p>\n These initiatives, involving employees and their families, have enabled the removal of hundreds of pieces of waste abandoned in natural areas, mainly originating from agricultural activities and coastal tourism, as well as a significant amount of microplastics that affect both terrestrial and marine ecosystems.<\/p>\n Carbon Footprint Compensation: A Strategic Priority<\/strong><\/p>\n Offsetting our carbon footprint is one of the key environmental actions directly linked to our business activity.<\/p>\n For the fourth consecutive year, we have completed our carbon footprint management cycle through the official compensation of emissions under an agreement with the Galician Forestry Association, a non-profit organization that brings together forest owners across the region.<\/p>\n As part of this collaboration, 512 tonnes of CO\u2082 equivalent (tCO\u2082e) corresponding to the 2024 reporting year have been offset, covering 100% of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and 6.75% of Scope 3 emissions. This offsetting has been achieved through reforestation activities within the \u201cGalicia Rexenera: Fonte Santa (Arbo)\u201d project, covering an area of more than three hectares.<\/p>\n Since the beginning of this partnership, a total of 25,060 trees have been planted, resulting in the compensation of 2,556 tCO\u2082e and the restoration of an area equivalent to more than 13 football fields.<\/p>\n Beyond the environmental benefits, these initiatives have also generated a positive socio-economic impact, contributing the equivalent of 296 working days and supporting local employment, representing approximately one full-time job for 15 months.<\/p>\n Committed to the Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n Through all these initiatives, Andamur actively contributes to environmental improvement and reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and the protection of our planet.
